Getting started with Basecraft

Welcome to Basecraft, an exciting blockchain-based game where you can create, manage, and battle with your own clan!

Getting Started

1. Player NFT: To participate in Basecraft , you need a Soulbound Player NFT. This NFT represents your unique identity in the game. You will need a small amount of base ETH to make transactions as well

1. Creating a Clan:

   • If you have a Player NFT, you can create your own clan.

   • Creating a clan costs 0.005 ETH.

   • Each player can only own one clan.

   
2. Clan Shares:

   • Clans operate on a share system.

   • When you create a clan, you automatically get 1 share.

   • Other players can buy shares in your clan, increasing its value and strength.

   • A portion of the trades gets split between the protocol fee and the clan treasury

   

   Your clan has a treasury and winnings which are used in the fighting mechanics

Managing Your Clan

1. Buying Shares:

   • You can buy shares in any clan, including your own.

   • The price of shares increases as more are purchased.

   • Buying shares contributes to the clan's treasury.

2. Selling Shares:

   • You can sell your shares back to the system.

   • The sell price is slightly lower than the buy price due to fees.

3. Clan Treasury:

   • Each clan has a treasury that accumulates funds from share purchases.

   • The treasury is used for clan upgrades and can be won in battles.

Clan Building and Coins

1. You can enter your clan by pressing 'Go To Clan' on the main menu

Within your clan are various buildings which you can upgrade in order to earn coins and make your clan more formidable during fights!

You can earn coins in game by upgrading your miner. Each upgrade will cost ETH which increases on a bonding curve. Each miner upgrade will increase your CPS(coins per second) by 1 which can be claimed at any time. Your coins are unique to you and not to your clan, but you can only spend them upgrading a clan.

You can use these coins to upgrade your blacksmith (to help when attacking) or your fortress ( to help when defending from attacks). These upgrades are done on a bonding curve similar to the miner.

Clan Battles

1. Initiating a Battle:

   • Only clan owners can initiate battles.

   • You can challenge any other clan to a battle.

   

   Users can head to the general in their clan to pick an enemy to fight
2. Battle Mechanics:

   • Battles are determined by each clan's offensive and defensive power.

   • There's a random factor to add excitement and unpredictability.

   • Battles have a cooldown period (initially set to 1 day).

3. Battle Rewards:

   • The winning clan receives 30% of the losing clan's treasury.

   • These winnings can be used to purchase more shares for the clan.

Tips for Success

1. Regularly check your clan's status and claim your coins.

2. Invest in your clan by buying more shares when possible.

3. Engage in battles strategically, considering your clan's strength and the potential rewards.

4. Collaborate with other players by allowing them to buy shares in your clan, increasing its overall value and strength.
